A Brief Biography

Born 30th May 1949...in Loscoe, Derbyshire, born at home. My parents had been married for ten years before I arrived

 

Moved to Lincolnshire in 1953

 

Left school in 1965 to start my nurses training in Derby

 

Married in January 1971

 

Qualified as a State Registered Nurse in April 1971

 

Daughter born in May 1971

 

Daughter born April 1973

 

Son born in December 1974

 

Divorced 1979

 

Returned to live in Lincolnshire to care for my elderly parents in 1985

 

Remarried April 1990 to a man twenty years younger than I am. The Minister of the Church we were both members of refused to marry us because of the age difference, so we eloped. 'They' said it wouldn't last three months...still going strong!

 

Parents died in 1994, and 1997.

 

Moved house in 1997, now live in North East Lincolnshire

 

Middle daughter married in 1997

 

Twin grandaughters born 3rd March 1999

 

Son married 6th July 2002

 

Grandson born 8th August 2004

 

A Born Again Christian, and belong to the Baptist Church

 

A long time vegetarian

 

A Pacifist and Registered Conscientious Objector

 

Developed  Polymyalgia Rhuematica in March 2008
